Phnom Penh Police Seize Nearly 200kg of Drugs and Detain a Suspect

PHNOM PENH: The Special Forces of the Anti-Drug Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police investigated and arrested a suspect along with a total of 181 kilograms and 370 grams of drugs.

According to the official Facebook page of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, a 25-year-old suspect from Vietnam, Luu Tung Huy, was arrested on 30 December 2021 at the third-floor condominium on Street 105, Boeung Keng Kang (BKK) II district in Phnom Penh. Around 51 kilograms of drug ingredients and 1 car were confiscated during the arrest.

In addition, the police reported confiscating drugs in two more locations in BKK and Boeung Tumpun districts, that amounted to an additional 130 kilograms of drugs.

The suspects and the evidence of drugs have been sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to follow the legal procedure.
